^GI fell down on my knees at the foot of this mountain I cried, "O ^DLord what must I ^Gdo? ^GI want to climb this mountain, I want to drink from this fountain That ^Dflows so clear in my ^Gview"

^GThen I heard a sweet voice from the top of this mountain Saying, "^DChild put your hand in ^Gmine" ^GI started climbing slowly, "Watch your steps at the edges And ^Dtake one step at a ^Gtime"

^GI started climbing upward taking one step at a time The ^Dhigher I got the ^Gharder I climbed

^GI'm still climbing upward and my journey's almost ended I'm ^Dnearing the top and you ^Gought to see the view ^GOh the water flows freely, there's enough to make you free So ^Dfriend if you're thirsty climb this ^Gmountain with me
