Tuning: E A D G B E
This second song is incredibly easy, since it's literally just G - D - C - G for the entire song and then D - G at the end of each few verses. That being said, I personally always find it obnoxious whenever a guitar tab is literally just the lyrics with a few chords at the top though, so for the sake of not having put one of THOSE tabs on the site, I'll map it all out here. CHORDS USED: C G D GHOST MICE: EUROPE "English Channel"
GWe turned around, we were headin' south DWe were tryin' to get off the island CWishin' for a sky without any clouds GWith a big nice bright sun shinin'
GWe found a spot in a soggy swamp DAnd set up our tiny tent COur feet were wet again GBut we were gettin' used to it
Our feet were Dalways Gwet
GA man drove by in a silver car DWith a mean look on his face CHe looked at us in the rear-view GAnd then he hit the breaks
GWe walked up to the open window DNot knowin' what to think CBut he wanted to know where we were goin' GAnd see if it was on his way
GWe told him we were goin' to Dover DAnd hopefully over to France that night CHe said, "So am I, hop in GAnd I'll give you a ride"
And we were Don our Gway
GHe said he stopped to pick us up DBecause we looked so out of luck CHe was havin' a bad day too GBut he thought we had him beat
GIt was his philosophy that if you see DSomeone in a worse way than you CIt's your ethical obligation GTo stop and see what you can do
I wish everyDone thought that Gtoo
GHe asked if we had our tickets DAnd when our boat would leave CWe confessed we didn't know that yet GAnd we'd get there then we'd see
GHe said, "You should just ride with me DBecause passengers ride free CIt takes a couple of hours GAnd I could use the company"
So could Dwe, so could Gwe
GBut he was goin' to Belgium DAnd we were goin' to France CBut we decided to change our plans G'Cause you don't pass up a chance like that
GWe got there late and he was pissed DThat he missed the hovercraft CIf he'd have to take the slow boat GThen he would ride first class
Our bad Dluck was gone at Glast
GWe got to the lonely lobby DAnd we filled our packs with snacks CThey were free, those pastries GAnd those drinks would weight our backs
GHe could see our hesitation DWe were concerned about bein' rude CHe said, "Take as much as you can hold, kids GI was once like you
I have Dbeen there Gtoo"
GWe got aboard the ferry DAnd they took us to our seats CWhich were basically in a nice restaurant GAnd it looked like we were gonna get to eat
GThey brought us priceless menus DAnd they brought us more drinks CWe were the only dirty kids there GWith our big backpacks and stinky feet
GSo we ate our three-course meal DAnd talked to our new-found friend CWe told him about the music we played GHe was an electrician
GHe asked where we planned to sleep that night DWe said we had no clue CHe said, "I'll drop you off by the side of the road GThat's what I used to do
I was Donce like Gyou"
