^GHe's a good dog. I've had ^Chim for years. He used ^Dto get up when I'd walk by. Now he just lifts up his ears, ^G

And he thumps his tail on the floor

^CWhen I talk to him. When I talk too^D long, he just ignores me, And goes to sleep again. ^G

^GHe's a good dog. I got^C him as a pup. I tri^Ded to teach him all the tricks, Then I just gave up ^G

'Cause he never acted very bright,

Though his eyes they'^Cve got this glow, And I think h^De actually knows some things That actually I don't. ^G

And he never b^Darks at strangers, And he never b^Carks at cars, And he howls a^Dt the coyotes While they're howling at t^Che stars, ^D And he scratches ^Gat the back door Till someo^Cne lets him in, Then he scratches ^Dat the other side 'Cause he wants back out again. ^G
