Keep playing the chords, but take your finger off the B for the first chord and
use your third finger to play the riff on the second chord.
Sorry if I haven't made this clear enough!
On the verse use hammer-ons on the low E to the 2nd fret, then to the 3rd fret to
change chords from D to G.
You should be able to work out which notes of the chord to hammer on, just listen to the song.
DLet me tell you all a little story of the things I've Gfound,
DHanging out and drinking with my friends in the cathedral Ggrounds,
DAnd later dodging drunks as we dance along Jury GStreet,
DAs we wander up town to the railway our friends toG meet,
There's Asomething about coming back to yEmour hometown again,
The Gplace where you grew up and where you found your firmest friends,
And though Anone of them still live here, I've Emgot nowhere to go,
I'm a WGessex Boy and when I'm here I'm Dhome
DLet me tell you all a little story of the things I've Glost,
DHuddling for warmth on the top step of the ButterGcross,
DSitting on the benches by the bridges at the riveGrside,
Of Dcounting down the hours for the buses cause I missed my Gride
There's Asomething about coming back to yoEmur hometown again,
The Gplace where you grew up and where you found your firmest friends,
And though Anone of them still live here, I've gEmot nowhere to go,
I'm a WeGssex Boy, a Wessex boy and when I'm here I'm Bmhome
BmAnd one day I will hGear this song anAonymous and Dsweet,
BmRinging out from a bGuskers guitar on the aAncient city Dstreets,
BmI'll stand along whilGe and smile before I cAontinue on the Droad,
AAnd somebody else will sing the words and GI'll feel like I'm home

There's Asomething about hometowns you Emnever can escape
The Gtriumphs and the tragedies and those of little faith
The Awelling of nostalgia and Emfeeling kind of strange,
CauseG despite the little changes yeah this place still feels the same
There's Asomething about coming back to Emyour hometown again,
The Gplace where you grew up and where you found your firmest friends,
And though Anone of them still live here, I've Emgot nowhere to go,
I'm a WGessex Boy,
I'm a WGessex boy and when I'm here I'm Dhome
