Capo: 4
Tuning: E A D G B E
Unsure about a few chords in the break but think this is pretty close. To get the picking right use
open chords and thumb pick the bass note with the higher strings alternately. The second chord in the main
progression is hard to place but I have it down as something like the chord below,
a variation of Em/G#. If anyone can get it more accurate please comment! :)
Em/G# F#dim

[Verse 1]
CHistory's been lEm/G#eaning on me lAmately; Am7/G
Fmaj7I can feel the future bGreathing down my neck
CAnd all the things I Em/G#thought were true
When AmI was young, and Am7/Gyou were too
D9/F#Turned out to be broken
And I Gdon't know what comes next
[Chorus]
In a Amworld that has dFecided
That it's Cgoing to lose itsG mind
Be more kAmind, my frienFds, try to be mCore kind
C Em/G# Am Am7/G Fmaj7 G
[Verse 2]
They've sCtarted raising Em/G#walls around the wAmorld now Am7/G
Like Fmaj7hackles raised upon a cornered cGat
COn the borders, Em/G#in our heads
Between Amthings that can and Am7/Gcan't be said
We've stopped tD9/F#alking to each other
And there's soGmething wrong with that
[Chorus]
So bAmefore you go out seFarching
Don't dCecide what you wilGl find
Be more Amkind, my friends, trFy to be more kiCnd
[Break]
You should kCnow Em
you're not aAmlone F#dim
And that trouble cComes, Em
and trouble gAmoes F#dim
How this Cends, Em
no one kAmnows F#dim
So hold on Ctight Em
when the wind Amblows
Fmaj7 G C
Am Fmaj7 C
[Verse 3]
The Cwind blew both of Em/G#us to sand and sAmea Am7/G
And D9/F#where the dry land stands is hard to saGy
As the Ccurrent drags us bEm/G#y the shore
We Amcan no longer Am7/Gsay for sure
Who's dD9/F#rowning, or if they can be saGved
[Chorus]
AmBut when you're out there fFloundering
Like a lCighthouse I will Gshine
Be more Amkind, my friendFs, try to be morCe kind
Like a Ambeacon reaching oFut
To you and yCours from me anGd mine
Be more Amkind, my friendFs, try to be morCe kind
In a Amworld that has deFcided
That it's Cgoing to lose itsG mind
Be more kAmind, my friendFs, try to be moCre kind
