Capo: 2 Tuning: E A D G B E
PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU PLAY. This tab is for a live version of "Shoulders," not the album version. If you want to play the album version, move everything down a half-step (one fret). For beginners, this means to subtract one from all the numbers in the chord diagrams. The version I tabbed is from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dBWK39yNNA Fazerdaze plays with a capo on the second fret. I have tabbed the chords as if there were no capo, since Fazerdaze makes little use of the capo in the performance. If you do use a capo, you will not need to move the location of the chords. With a capo, you can get sympathetic sounds from the open e and B strings with any of the chords, although Fazerdaze does not take much advantage of this effect. Fazerdaze plays roughly the same barre chords during the verses, chorus, post-chorus, and instrumental. She plays the same chords in the verses and choruses. She play only the root notes of the chords in the post-chorus, which I have indicated with lowercase letters in the tab. Note that in the post-chrous the chord changes are on slightly different beats than the rest of the song, so you will have to listen to get the rhythm. In the instrumental, she plays variations on the chords used in the verses, with the addition of one new chord. The chords are below. I did not write the chords in relation to the capo, so, to match the recording, you will need to play the chords at the same location on the neck whether you use a capo or not.
