Riff notes; I recommend G# Blues in the forth position, Begin the lick on 1st or 7th degree (maybe on the 4th), make sure to fill with 1,4, 5 and 7 degree notes and end on root or 5th depending on the verse. Note B: You can add harmonic motion by adding a slide one half step to A or A9 then back to the original chord (in this case G# or G#9).
