CARRY YOU - DISPATCH Tabbed by:tcasali1 E-mail:noneya@business.com I play this song different than what the other tabs have listed. Firstly, most of the tabs have it in a completely different key than the original song, which sounds to me like a Cm7 chord, not a D chord. the way I play it sounds almost exact to the song and helps you put that little bit of funk in the song. the way the band does you have to mute a lot and use your first finger to barre 3 notes at a time, but it's not hard if you don't have a callous on the pad of your pointer finger, you will after this. the parentheses means the note is optional, if you can stretch and make it sound right. (sometimes the parentheses means I don't really know what to call that particular chord) you will notice it follows the pentatonic shape throughout Tuning:standard this is that intro thing part e|-x-----x------x-----x--------x-----x-------------x----| B|-8h9---8------8-----8--------x-----x-------------x----| G|-8-----8------8h10--8--------8-----8-------------8----| D|-8-----8------8-----8--------8-----8-------------8----| A|-x-----x------x-----x--------8h10--8-------------8----| E|-x-----x------x-----x--------x-----x------11----(11)--| this is the chorus thing part with the bridge thingy e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------------| B|---------------------------------------------------------------------------------| G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------------| D|------8--------------------------------------------------------------------------| A|-8h10----------------------------------------------------------------------------| E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------------| you can see how easy to transition it is, since your fingers are already there. use your thumb for the fat string on this part, and your (you guessed it) pad of your pointer for the 8-8-8 e|---x---------x-----------------------x-------------------------------------------| B|---8---------x-----------------------8-------------------------------------------| G|---8---------8-----------------------8-------------------------------------------| D|---8---------6-----------------------8-------------------------------------------| A|---x---------x-----------------------6-------------------------------------------| E|---8---------8-----------------------6-------------------------------------------| Cm7 inverted G# D#/A# (?) I use this particular way to play the chords since it's super easy to position your hands and transition them between chords, and allows the player to mute the strings so you can play that funky mute sound between chords FOR THE SOLO JUST JAM YOURSELF ON THE Cm PENTATONIC SHAPE. I tried to make it so that you don't have to move your hands around the fret board too much good luck, practice hard, and jam tastily my friends ************ | / slide up | \ slide down | h hammer-on | p pull-off | ~ vibrato | + harmonic | x Mute note | b Bend | pb Pre-bend | br Bend release | pbr Pre-bend release | brb Bend release bend ************
