GRACE LIKE A RIVER - Delirious?
Tuning: Standard
Okay, this song has an acoustic and an electric in it.
There are no actual riffs during the chorus or bridge. During the latter choruses, the acoustic
plays open chords. During the bridge, the electric plays powerchords. The electric
plays something
during the chorus, but I can't hear it well enough to tab it out. It sounds pretty
similar to verse riff
B. Listen to the recording to figure it out for sure.
Intro (electric)-not perfect, but he's using an octave effect I can't figure out
e|-14-14-14-14-14-14-14-14-14-14-14-14-|
B|-15-15-15-15-15-15-15-15-15-15-15-15-|
G|-------------------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------|
A|-------------------------------------|
E|-------------------------------------|
Verse riff B is then played twice.
Verse Riff B:
e|---------------------------|
B|-----------7b-----------7--|
G|--------5------------5-----|
D|-----7------------7--------|
A|--5------------5-----------|
E|---------------------------|
For the verse, the following riffs are played: verse riff A,
verse riff B, verse riff A, verse riff B, verse riff A twice
Verse riff A is below
Verse Riff A:
e|-------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------------|
G|--------2-----------2-------------0--|
D|------0---0-------0---0---------0----|
A|----3-------3---3-------3-----5------|
E|--1-----------1-----------1/3--------|
The following chords are each strummed once for the chorus by the electric:
D - Dmaj7 - G - Em
The verse is then played again as before, and then the chorus is played in the same manner.
For the bridge, the electric plays these power chords (though the Am is played as a
normal Am)
: Bb - Am - Bb - Am
The chorus is then repeated four more times, with the guitars coming in halfway through
the first
of these choruses. The acoustic strums rhythmically using the chords. During this
time, the Em
in the chorus changes to a Cadd9 .
Hopefully this helps you figure out this song.
