Well, after three versions of this song, no one has quite got it spot-on yet. While
Version 2 had the right idea, they failed (as everyone else did) to realize there is a
varied chord progression midway through the verse, as you'll see here.
Chords used:

CWe walk up the paths of the banks of the mighty SFusquehanna
With our Cfeet made muddy by your tributaries
That tFrickle their way to the Chesapeake
It's like we Amfollow I-83 down to the harbor cities
CStrip malls and the tar-mac
AmPeople swirling and teaming
CIt seemed so exciting, but now it seems like such a blight

CI grew up near Kentucky's Mt. FZion Road
CAll that was there was some old cemeFtary
I wanted Amnothing more than to be able to walk to the sCtore
Now AmI don't live there but there's too many stores
Some Capartments and a Sunoco
And I wondeCr what did they do with the Fbodies?
And I wondeCr what did they do with the Fbodies?

And I Cmiss that place behind my house where I
FHiked and climbed and played
Where I'd Cditch this noisy century or just
FHid out from the decade
M-I Amhomes thought it could stand to be updCated
Forced it all intAmo a grid until it looks like the funny Cpages
CWith every trace of light that seems confFined within a frame
The Cfaces move from day to day but the Fstrips all look the same
And the Ampunchlines are resoundingly unfCunny
For those trapped Amin this architecture of easy monCey
And I Cfeel like this all come to no Fgood
This kids who Cpopulate these cul-de-sacs will Fnever know what stood
Beneath their Amcookie-cutter houses, fCields and streams and woods
They'll sit in Amcars and wait for mom to drive them
COut of this boring neighborhood
COh!

And I wondCer, what did they do with the boFdies? (x2)
