Sweet AnnabEelle as seen reclining on an oC#mcean swell as the waves do lF#mather
up to lay her down 'til she's fAast and sleeping oh wEell I guess I'm
something of a nC#me'er-do-well who fell asleep at the pF#mealing of the steeple
bell I'm on trAack and keeping but Eoh if I could only get you oF#mcean side
To lay your muAscles wide it’d be heavEenly oh if I could only coax you
oF#mverboard to leave these loAlling shores to get you oEcean side B7

Ocean side ocean side oh
SOLO: E-C#m-F#m-A-Am
At rising tEide you're looking fresher than a JC#muly bride
We're picking up what our mF#mothers always stigmatized.
The field is rAight for reaping oh wEell
I guess I'm something of a neC#mer-do-well
Even though that's soF#mmething I could never do well
I'm on trAack and keeping but Eoh if I could only get you oF#mcean side to lay
your muAscles wide it'd be heavenEly oh if I could only coax you oF#mverboard
To leave these loAlling shores to get you oEcean side B7

II. Shiny
Tabbed By: TimMobbs
Tuning: Standard EADGBe
Notes: Capo on 2nd Fret
This is a fairly easy song to play,
but uses some rather uncommon chords,
complete with long and weird names.
My advise would be to not be thrown
by the odd chords, but just to learn
the shapes of them, where they fit
into the song and keep at it :)
Here are all the chords used in the
song:

I hope the timing makes sense - the vertical lines are the start of a measure.
The last "Angel, won't you call?" is twice as long as the first one. But if
you've listened to the song, you already know that!

i'm not so sure about these chords, but then i'm not
so sure anyone's ever heard of this song. if you're looking
at this tab you probably have the song, so listen to it.
these are the chords i use and the general strumming pattern.
i'm not sure whether he changes chords on the first beat of
the measure, or on the off beat right before. i wrote the
latter, which is how i play it.
and i have no idea about the bridge. it sounds all right i guess.

I'm really sorry Steven
Ab C# A
But your bicycle's been stolen
E
I was watchin it for you
F# A
'Til you came back in the fall
F# A
Guess I didn't do such a good job after all
Verse 2:
E A B E
I was feeling really sorry Steven
Ab C# A
And I spent all morning grieving
E
And everybody's saying
F# A
That you'll take the news gracefully
F# A
Somehow I don't think I'll be getting off that easily
Chorus 1:
C# A
I meant her no harm
E Ab
When I left her unlocked Outside the Orange Street Food Farm
C# A
I was just running in
E Eb
Didn't think I'd be that long
C#I came out, she was gAone
EAnd all that was there was somAbe bored old dog
C# A E
Leashed up to the place where your bicycle had been
F# B
Guess we'll never see poor Madeleine again
Verse 3 (match verse 1 for chords):
Let this be consolation, Steven
That all the while you were in England
I treated her with care and respect
And have her lots of love
And I was usually pretty good 'bout locking her up
Chorus 2 (match chorus 2 for chords):
Where has she gone?
Well, I bet she's on the bottom of a Frenchtown pond
Rudely abused on some hescher's joyride
So I wrote you this song
In the hopes that you'd forgive me
Even though it was wrong
Being so careless with a thing so great
And taking your poor Madeleine away, away
