Song: Gonna Shine Up My Boots
Band: Corb Lund and the Hurtin' Albertans
Album: Five Dollar Bill
Label: Stony Plain Records
Written and Performed By: Corb Lund and the Hurtin' Albertans
Tabbed and Chorded By: ultimatelefty
I believe this is actually the first song I ever heard from Corb, it
got me hooked right away! He's been known to play this song with a
capo, but the studio version actually doesn't have one.The song is
mostly just a switch between C and G with many dynamic changes, but
it's a pretty easy and fun song. I tried tabbing out the solo, I'm not
sure how close it is to being correct, but I'm up for corrections!
Please rate, comment, and enjoy!!
Chords:
C: 332010
G: 320033
C
CI'm gonna shine up my boots
I'm gonna Ggo into town
I'm gonna scrape up twenty dollars
I'm gonna throw it Caround
I'm gonna buy me a dance
First lovely Glady that I see
And when our dance is through
I'll say "Will you mCarry me?"
CI'm gonna shine up my boots
I'm gonna Ggo into town
I'm gonna scrape up twenty dollars
I'm gonna throw it Caround
I'm gonna find me a game
Of Ghold 'em if I can
And fold 'em all night long
Till I got me a Chand
CI'm gonna buy us a ranch
With a Gpalomino herd
And I won't mean no harm, babe
And I won't say a Cword
When Misery comes to call
I'll Ggive to him my life
I'll set with him awhile
And share my horse, my home, my Cwife
