Hi All, another great song put up by someone where I've made some minor corrections. When you're feeling confident the lead slide guitar is not to hard to work out starting with Am and sus4 bending the second string up a note on the third fret to start. Have a go it's a great tune. (1)
AmI was sittin' beside the Groad in Black Jack AmCounty. not Cknowing that that the Sheriff paid a Ebounty,E7 for Ammen like me that dGidn't have a Fpenny to their Ename.E7 So he Amlocked my leg to F35 pounds of GBlack Jack County AmChains.
(2)
AmAnd all we had to Geat was bread and Amwater, and each Cday we built the road a mile and a EquarE7ter, a AmBlack Snake Whip, would Gcut the back, of Fany man who comEplained,E7 but we Amcouldn't fight back wearing F35 pounds of GBlack Jack County AmChains. (3) One night while the GSheriff was gently Amsleeping, we Call gathered round him slowly Ecreeping,E7 AmHeaven help me to Gforget that Fnight in the cold cold Erain, E7 when we Ambeat him to death with F35 pounds of GBlack Jack County AmChains.
(Lead slide if you're feeling brave) Am G Am, C E E7, Am G F E E7, Am F G Am (4)
Amnow the whip marks are all Ghealed and I'm Amthankful, there's Cnothing but the scar around my Eankle. E7 but Ammost of all I'm Gglad no man will Fbe a slave Eagain,E7 to a BlaAmck Snake Whip, and F35 pounds of GBlack Jack County AmChain. to a BlaAmck Snake Whip, and F35 pounds of GBlack Jack County AmChain.
