A Different Kind of Knight (Christian Kane)
-------------------------------------------
A great song by Christian Kane. Couldn't find the chords anywhere, so here goes.
The verse is basically two chords, with some alterations on the D (add pinky or
take away middle). Most
is done by proper strumming, I think.
Just play along the original, shouldn't be hard to figure out.
Dadd4add9: Just move the C chord up three frets
Starts with Em upstroke

Verse
======
EmCan I cut in on aD dance?
DYou ain't gonna find what you're lookin' for
In that littleEm Mexican
EmYou can't mix your tears
With those from anD agave plant
You see I've danced with him myself
And he's never Embeen a friend
You go believin' in your Lancelot
Well it's Dall in vain
And you're chasin' picket fences,
There's Emalways hell to pay
I met many a girl in here
With the sDame story line
All them boys on those white horses
Don't know Emhow to ride
Chorus
======
But I goCt a pain outside with enough giddyup
To be Emfree
I got a Cfaint smell of Emcheap perfume
FAnd a hint of gaEmsoline
See I'm Ca different kind of knighEmt
You're gonna Dfind your fairy tales aEmre lies
I don't have a white Chorse
Dadd4add9 Em
But you can come along for the ride
Verse 2 (Em, C up and down)
=====
She said "I'm tired of living life in a romance book
I think chivalry's dead
And I ain't gonna look
For them roundtable boys on the white horse
That can't get the story right."
I said "as luck would have it
I was tossed by the throne
I let my merry hair down
Some years ago
And I traded my coat of arms
For a guitar and some broken yellow lines."
-> Chorus
Verse 3 (Em, C up and down)
=======
She kinda shifted in her seat a little bit
The thought of every eye on her bee-stung lips
And she raised that glass and the lime
And she kissed them goodbye
She said "promise me you'll take it slow
And swear no talk of tomorrow
And when you feel me tighten around you
Well you can let the hammer down."
-> Chorus
