While looking on the internet, I found that there was a major shortage
of Bruce Hornsby stuff. This might have been because I was looking on
guitar tab pages, while Bruce Hornsby and the range is a piano band. I
originally figured this out on piano, but it doesn't sound too bad on
guitar. Enjoy. ~e~
The Gsong came and wDent
Like the tAmimes that we spCent
Hiding oGut from the Drain under the cGarnival tent
I lGaughed and she Dsmiled
It would Amlast for aCwhile
You don't Gknow what you Dgot till you lose it Gall again
Listen to the Gmandolin rain
Listen to the Dmusic on the lGake
Listen to my Amheart break every Gtime she Druns Gaway
Listen to the Gbanjo wind
A sad Dsong Gdrifting low
Listen to the Amtears roll Gdown my face as she Dturns to Ggo
A cool evening dance
Listening to the bluegrass band takes the chill
From the air till they play the last song
I'll do my time
Keeping you off my mind
But there's moments that I find, I'm not feeling too strong
REPEAT CHORUS
FRunning on down by the Clakeshore
She did Dlove the sound of a Amsummer Cstorm
FPlayin on the lake like a Cmandolin
Now it's Amwashing her Caway Donce again
REPEAT CHORUS
The boat's steaming in
I watch the sidewheel spin and
I think about her when I hear the whistle blow
I can't change my mind
I knew all the time that she'd go
But that's a choice I made long ago
REPEAT CHORUS
