ADELAIDE - Ben Folds
Tabbed by: muchamancool
Tuning: Standard (EADGBe)
INTRO: This is the piano riff he plays. My timing isn't perfect, so listen to the song
and decide how you want to play it.

VERSE 1: For the 1st verse, just play the bass notes of the riff above. Or you can play
the riff
if you get bored. I wouldn't recommend full chords yet. The bass note is in parenthesis.

Adelaide on a plane

Far from the United States of L.A.

(A)
Going where the air is clear
(E)
There's better beer in Adelaide
VERSE 2: This is where I like to start playing the actual chords. On the A and E chords,
alternate between
the regular chords and the Maj7 chords to give it a bit more flavor and have it sound
closer to the piano.
It's not perfect, but it works in a guitar only version. Or you can just play the riff
stuff by combining the
intro riff for verse part one, and part two where that goes. It's whatever, man.
ECharlie Hill Smith's forty
Someone spiked my Arice the rest, history
Now I am a Efixture down Rundle Mall
Watching as the Alocals pass silver balls
I can see their F#meyes around they're Bpointed down
They Cscan the spanning C#msidewalks
Learning that there Ais no hurry, fuss or worry, EAdelaide
BREAK: I don't know the tab for the piano here. I just like to strum the chords fast.
Listen to the song.
