Guess I'm Doing Fine Beck Hansen Album: Sea Change Posted by: Mike Felder This is an incredible song. I can't quite figure out a few chords, but hopefully this can get you all started! Verse 1:
EThereA's a bEluebird at my window EI canA't heaEr the songs he sings
EAll tAhe jewEels in heaven EThey Adon't looF#mk the same to me
AI jG#must wade thEe tides that turn 'TG#mil I learEn to leave the past behind
Chorus:
G#mIt's onlAy lies Ethat I'm livin' G#mIt's only tAears thEat I'm Cryin'
G#mIt's onlAy youE that DI'm losin' F#mI guess IE'm dF#moin fiAne
2nd Verse: Same chord progression All the battlements are empty And the moon in laying low Yellow roses in the graveyard I got no time to let them grow Now I bade a friend farewell I can do what ever pleases me Chorus: Same chord progression It's only lies that I'm livin' It's only tears that I'm cryin' It's only you that I'm losin' I guess I'm doin fine 3rd Verse:
F#mI press Amy faceE up to the window F#mTo see hAow waErm it is inside
F#mI see thAe thingEs that I've been missing F#mMissingE all the time
Chorus: It's only lies that I'm livin' It's only tears that I'm cryin' It's only you that I'm losin' I guess I'm doin fine I guess I'm doin fine End Notes: I know that I either am missing a chord or have the wrong progression on the verse where he sings just wade the tides that turn... 'Til I leave the past behind" I can't quite figure it out (I just got CD today). Also, I think there is another chord at the end of the chorus when he sings "I guess I'm doin fine" Between the F#m and the A there is something, but you can fake it and it sounds alright. I am working the intro and will post it when I figure it out.
