But I recently found a live performance video on YouTube that clearly shows Mike Inez starting that bend at the 3rd fret as I'd originally suspected. Additionally, one tip I can offer about the main riff is that if you're having trouble for one reason or another making the full-step bend to Ab from the 3rd fret, try it from the 4th fret.
