The Sundays were an English alternative rock band formed in the late 1980s. Known for their jangly guitar sound and the distinctive, ethereal voice of lead singer Harriet Wheeler, the band blended indie pop with dreamy, melancholic tones. They gained critical acclaim for their introspective lyrics and melodic style. Alongside Wheeler, the band featured guitarist David Gavurin, and they released three albums before going on an extended hiatus in the late 1990s. Though their discography is limited, The Sundays remain influential in the indie and dream pop scenes.
