Read Southall is an American singer-songwriter and the frontman of the Oklahoma-based band Southall, formerly known as the Read Southall Band. Born and raised in rural Oklahoma, Southall was immersed in country music from an early age, drawing inspiration from legends like Hank Williams and Johnny Paycheck. He began his musical journey by performing in choirs and local bands, eventually transitioning to a solo career at 22. His debut album, Six String Sorrow, was released in 2015, showcasing his acoustic roots.
