Moheener Ghoraguli (মহীনের ঘোড়াগুলি) was a pioneering Bengali rock band from Kolkata, India, active primarily in the late 1970s. Often considered the first Bengali rock band, they fused elements of rock, jazz, folk, and urban poetry, creating a unique sound and lyrical style that addressed social, political, and existential themes. Formed in 1975, their work was ahead of its time and initially met with limited commercial success. However, they gained a cult following over the years and later became hugely influential in the Bengali music scene. Their bold experimentation and socially conscious lyrics laid the foundation for many contemporary artists in the region.
