There are heaps of versions out there on the internet involving bar chords. I can play bar chords but i know many guitar beginner's can't yet. Clarification: I do not like this song, but (argue with me all you want) it is a really fun song to play in jam sessions with your friends. So enjoy :) I will give you both the bar chords (if you do not have a capo) and the version with capo. No capo : Keep playing chords B, Abm, E and F# throughout the whole song. The chords look like this:
BE- - x - - - B- - - - x - G- - - - x - D- - - - x - A- - x - - - E- - x - - -
as you can see, you bar the 2nd fret and play an A chord.
AbmE- - - x - - - B- - - x - - - G- - - x - - - D- - - - - x - A- - - - - x - E- - - x - - - so here you bar the 4th fret and play an Em chord
EE- - - - B- - - - Gx - - - D- x - - A- x - - E- - - - this is not a bar chord
F#E- x - - - B- x - - - G- - x - - D- - - x - A- - - x - E- x - - -
so this is where you bar the 2nd fret and play an E chord The chords go in this order
BSeven a.m., waking up in the morning AbmGotta be fresh, gotta go downstairs EGotta have my bowl, gotta have cereal F#Seein' everything, the time is goin' BTickin' on and on, everybody's rushin' AbmGotta get down to the bus stop EGotta catch my bus, F#I see my friends (My friends)
and continues like that throughout the song If you are using a capo, put it on the fourth fret and play chords (relative to capo) G, Em, C and D.
G- - x - - - x -
