The difficult chord-change Maddie refers to is from D major to G major -- the G is played with BOTH the B and E strings (the highest pitch and thinnest strings found at the bottom of the rows of strings) held down on the 3rd fret during G chord, instead of only the E (highest) string. This makes it trickier to transition quickly from D chord to G chord. "Keep practicing," is Deacon's advice, and take a deep breath to calm frustrated fingers. :)
