Death Of J.B. Lenoir John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers ALBUM: Crusade (1967) John Mayall composed this song as he learnt the death of J.B. Lenoir (on the 29th of April 1967). This story and many more are told in Wim Wender's masterpiece The Soul of A Man, a documentary from the Martin Scorcese The Blues series.
