For the slash chord I just open up the low E string and play F#7 on top of it. The 7 acts as an octave for the E and sounds pretty good imo Transpose down 2 or 4 halfsteps for a slightly easier cowboy chord version. It's easiest (imo) to improv the melody over the chords if you transpose down 4. [Verse 1]
